He said that calls for him to step down are unpleasant because they\u2019re \u201ca reminder of mortality.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cIt\u2019s like, what are those vultures doing up there? Bush who joined the court in 2006, is a consistently reliable vote for Trump and conservative causes. This term, he authored major rulings upholding several of the Trump\u2019s administration\u2019s immigration initiatives and was also in the majority as the conservative-majority court expanded executive power and sided against LGBTQ+ interests.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            Earlier this year, CNN reported that Alito was taken to a hospital and treated for dehydration in March after becoming ill at a Federalist Society dinner in Philadelphia.\n    <\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationtimess.com\/?p=8895\">A mission to save NASA\u2019s falling observatory spun out of control. What happens next<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n            Despite siding frequently with Trump both this term and in previous years, the justice told the newspaper he remains an independent member of the court.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cI vote in every case the way I think the case should be decided,\u201d Alito said. \u201cIf that means a high correlation with what Trump wants, fine. I\u2019m going to decide some cases this way and some cases the other way so that people will say, \u2018Well, he\u2019s objective, because sometimes he favors this side and other times he favors that side.\u2019\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cI\u2019m not going to do that,\u201d Alito said. \u201cI\u2019m going to decide them all the way that I think they should be decided. I explain why I\u2019ve done it.
