John Cornyn and North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis, are out of office.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            While Blanche has already said the controversial fund is \u201cdead\u201d and the Justice Department told courts the program was abandoned, Cornyn has demanded written assurances that the fund will not be revived.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            In the Friday post, the president again criticized Cornyn and insisted that the fund, which was the result of a settlement agreement between Trump and the Internal Revenue Service, would not have benefitted him personally. Rather, he said it was intended for those \u201cwhose lives were unfairly and illegally destroyed\u201d by the Biden administration.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cI felt that they should be given compensation for what has been done to them,\u201d Trump said.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            While he stopped short of calling for a renewal of the fund, Trump defended its imposition and claimed that Cornyn \u201cnever had a problem\u201d with it. Here\u2019s what those drugs are and what happens next<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n            Trump suggested earlier this week that Cornyn was putting up a fight in the Senate, since he didn\u2019t offer his endorsement.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cMaybe John Cornyn\u2019s upset with me because I didn\u2019t endorse him. I don\u2019t know what it is, but I haven\u2019t heard that there\u2019s a problem,\u201d the president said from the Oval Office on Wednesday.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            Cornyn has denied that Trump\u2019s endorsement of his primary opponent factored into his decision. He also said the president\u2019s potential withdrawal of the nominee would not solve any problems.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cI think the DOJ needs a Senate-confirmed attorney general, and Todd Blanche is probably about as good as we\u2019re going to get, and so I just think they need to do what Todd Blanche swore that this deal meant. They need to put that in writing so it\u2019s enforceable.
