Mitch McConnell remains hospitalized as \u201che continues his recovery,\u201d a spokesperson for the Kentucky Republican said in a statement on Thursday.\n    <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationtimess.com\/?p=4763\">Exclusive: Trump administration plans to boost worksite immigration enforcement after increase in criminal probes<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n            The former GOP leader\u2019s office still hasn\u2019t disclosed the cause of McConnell\u2019s hospitalization since he entered on June 14.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cSenator McConnell appreciates the outpouring of support he\u2019s receiving while he continues his recovery in the hospital. The Senator continues to improve, and is working closely with his staff on Kentucky and Senate matters while the Senate is out of session,\u201d the spokesperson said.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            The statement from McConnell\u2019s office follows the release of an EMS audio recording published by an independent journalist that indicates emergency responders were called to his Washington, DC, home for an \u201cunconscious\u201d person the same day he was hospitalized last month.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            In the audio, the dispatcher says the call is for a \u201ccardiac arrest\u201d and a paramedic is heard saying, \u201cCPR in progress.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            Asked this week about the audio, a McConnell spokesperson said they would keep reporters updated on the senator\u2019s condition.\n    <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationtimess.com\/?p=4761\">FBI assigns 260 staff members to Georgia 2020 election probe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n            McConnell\u2019s name is not mentioned in the recording, but the address that paramedics responded to is known to be his. CNN has not confirmed the details of what dispatchers and medics described in the audio.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n            McConnell, a childhood polio survivor, has faced a series of health issues in recent years. In March 2023, he suffered a concussion and broken ribs after a fall. Months later, he froze midsentence during a news conference.
